What do science and mathematics have to do with it?
A simple scientific experiment will always prove you cannot pour the contents of a gallon container into a quart container. And what would you discover if you could do this experiment with time instead of liquid?
You cannot pour two hours of work into a one hour time slot. Busy people do not seem to understand this. They fail to see that the solution to their problem is clear. They have two choices:
1. They can reduce the amount of time it takes to do things, or
2. They can allocate more time to do things.
There is no option for putting two hours of work into one hour of time. The next time you decide to over-schedule your day, take a few minutes and pour a gallon of water into a quart jar. You will symbolically see what will happen to your plans.
Mathematics tells us that if you start with a 24-hour day and subtract eight hours for sleeping, three hours for meals (including preparation and cleanup), an hour for commuting, an hour for personal hygiene and eight hours for work…you only have three hours left for all the rest of your life activities. When you try to pack 28 hours worth of work in a day…what are you going to give up?
The GO System provides many ideas to help people learn to free-up huge blocks of time so they can get their work done in less time and have more of their 24 allotted hours to live a balanced life.
